Trucking Alliance Featured in HDT Editorial On Compensating Crash Victims
The federal government not only requires the commercial trucking industry to improve highway safety but also to compensate the victims of large truck crash victims, if a trucking company is at fault. Unfortunately, the industry is not yet achieving lower crashes or sufficiently compensating many crash victims.
Deborah Lockridge of HDT (Heavy Duty Trucking) recently interviewed Lane Kidd, managing director of the Trucking Alliance about the industry’s public duty to improve safety and to fairly compensate crash victims. Kidd explains why trucking companies should be required to have higher minimum insurance limits than Congress required more than 40 years ago.
